Can I put html tags anywhere in my posts? You can use HTML tags in the body of the message. Your html markup will appear in the posting. Also, see "targets", below. How can I quote from another post? The best way to indicate what another person has written is to italicize it. To do this, first of all copy the text you wish to quote and then paste it in the message field of your post. At the beginning of this text place the HTML tag and at the end of the text place this tag: You must get permission from, and give credit to the author and the source if it is a quote from outside this website. Bold is written: Bold Italic is written: Italic Underscored is written: Underscored
Color can be written: Color
AND if you have a paragraph to indent like this one you can write it as follows:
AND if you have a paragraph to indent like this one you can write it like this.
Pretty straight stuff really, but it can be embarrassing if you dont get it right, so try it on your PC first by opening a new text file in a text editor such as Notepad, writing your stuff, and saving it with the .htm extension. Then open it with your web browser. Notice that the end tag for the formatting is AFTER the words you want formatted, otherwise it will likely apply to more than what you had planned. VERY few tags other than those shown above can be used on the PS Discussion Board for security and formatting reasons. Why didn't my post show up on the main Board? Your post most likely did not show up because your browser did not reload the page, it simply pulled it out of cache. Reload the page with the "Refresh" button in your browser and it should then appear.
